Finally! It's finished and I'm all moved in. I finalized everything on Wednesday (with a lot of frustration....loooong story) and I am now offically a home owner. Now comes the hard part.....keeping up the home. Once I have pictures, I'll post them. The party is still on in three weeks...July 10th...unless it rains, like it's been doing for the last few weeks!

Yesterday, there was some news going around the office. They found a body next door at Oakwood homes, where they sell mobile and prefinished homes. The news went around like wild fire with everybody speculating what happened. Apparently someone just dropped the body off quickly because it was right next to a garbage bin and raced off when they couldn't get the body into the bin!

Anyway...that's about it. I'm still waiting to get my phone hooked up and television next Saturday. I'll probably be without internet for a couple of weeks, so I just check things from work or come back to my parents place. Right now they are down in Florida in Disney World. I wish I was going with them! I might go to Minnesota in August though.

Oh, before I go, I wanted to know if anybody heard the "Marble in a jar" theory. I'm sure there are different variations to it, but some of the married guys keep telling me about it, but I don't believe it. The theory goes, for the husband, that in the first year of marriage.....or even dating your potential mate up till the first year of marriage....that every time you have sex, you put a marble in a jar. After that time, when you have sex with the spouse, you take a marble out of the jar. The guys at work tell me that the marbles in the jar will never be gone from the jar. Those guys tell me it's true with every marriage. I think they are just say that because they are truly not getting any and just want to whine about it! I'm sure there are many people out there that can debunk this theory!

The Stressing of the Crispy

I am seriously stressing out right now about the house. I close in a week and a half, with some things still needing to get down. The porch is done but not the steps, and that's one of the things I need for the final county inspection....which in turn is needed for the occupancy permit....which is in turn is needed for to close with the bank! If this damn rain would go away, the mason can finish the steps. All the small things are really pushing me to insanity.

Funny thing last night too. I went up to the house after work and I found that my uncle put some more sand on the road so he could put down more rock for the drive way. Well, I tried to drive up it in my puny Mazda Protege! WRONG!!! I ended up slipping down back the driveway because it was too muddy and slick and almost ended up over the bank and dropping 5 feet over it onto the main road. Luckily, my wheels got stuck between the railroad ties that are near the edge.
So I stopped the car, and decided to meet my mom, who was finishing up painting at the house. However, she tried to back down the driveway in my father's baby, his Ford F150. WRONG AGAIN!!!! This time she was slipping back on the same spot too and had to stop before hitting my car which was still stuck. Well, we ended up calling my uncle to come and pull us out.

We didn't tell Dad what happened an>
