Otherwise engaged!

I feel like Chandler from Friends....well, the early years that is. I remember a line that he had in one eposide where Ross's ex-wife, turned lesbian weds her girlfriend. At the wedding, there are ton's of lesbians there and Chandler, who seems frustrated, turns to one of the other friend's and says "My world is a lesbian wedding!" That's I feel with this world myself sometimes. The reason....it seems like everyone I know is now engaged, or married, or married with children! There are basically three people that I can only say this about now!
The first is my high school crush, Brandy. I had a crush on her throughout high school. Near the end, she started dated her boyfriend, Tuan. After graduating, I heard that those two got married and moved to California. I didn't hear anything about them until a few years ago, a friend of mine told me she heard that Brandy and Tuan got divorced....or that was the rumor! Anyway I didn't think anything about it.
At the very beginning of this year, I signed up for Classmates.com and I saw them two. I wrote to her but never got an answer so assumed that it was outdated since it said she was in California and married. However, just last week, it seemed as though she updated. I found out that she is still married, has one child, but is now in Virginia. I couldn't pass up a chance to email her to see how she was doing. I wrote to her yesterday so I haven't gotten any word yet.

There was another friend of mine that I also found on Classmates.com just last week too. Her name is Michele and I went to college with her. I also had a crush on her for a little while. We lost contact with each other just before graduation, which was three years ago. I was going through names last week, when her's popped up and I took the chance of looking for her in classmates.com. I didn't see her name under my college but I did find several Michele's for other school's including high school. I saw one that may have matched her so I took the chance to email her. Low and behold...it was her. She wrote back saying to email her and so I did, telling her about what I have been going through and that I missed her. Well, she just emailed me back, and I learned that she is engaged! Another lost dream I guess.

It doesn't end there! Every Sunday, I have the need to look at Weddings/Engagements in the paper. I am so addicted to it now because I am eager to see if I know anybody that is married or engaged. Well, this week, I found someone that I knew. Another girl that I had a crush on years ago named Elizabeth. I meet her while working at Monticello during the summer. She was very cute with a great smile and was also working the summer during school! I thought about asking her out and one day I had the balls to finally ask her out. However, after I told her that, she told me that she didn't have time to go with me now or during school! I was so pissed off at the time but I just bit down my pride and tried to be friends with her after that. Later, I learned that during that next semester, she was dating a guy at school! That made me pissed off at her. The next summer, while working at Monticello, she did work there but only for a little while. Since then, I haven't talked to her.

So there you have it! I swear it seems that whole world is just my lesbian wedding!

HOLY SHIT!

Miami Cruise Ship on fire!

Both my parents were on that ship coming back from a week long cruise. I didn't hear about it until just a few minutes ago when my grandmother called me. I had just gotten back from church, when my grandmother called to say that my parents are alright and were fine. I had asked what happened and she told me that they called her and told her that their cruise ship caught fire! WHAT!!! She told me that she talked to them and tried calling me but I was at church but they left a message. I checked it after hanging up with my grandmother and they said they were fine. But that was some scary shit. I have to go pick them up from Dulles Airport at 4!

Yeah....we finally had our first softball game of the season tonight! This was suppose to be our third game but the first two were rained out! We won though I might be the weak link on the time so far! I went 0 for 2 with a walk! Didn't do so well in the outfield either! I think I'm going to start going to batting cages soon to practice and maybe try working out too!

Finally got information today about my friend Frankie who had her baby on May 8! She had a girl, who she named McKinley! I thought it was a boy at first! I made the mistake of asking when he was born!!! She had to have a C-section to give birth, and afterwards had to have an Appendectomy too after giving birth! I'm just glad that they are both doing well!

Dreamscape

You know how when you think about someone constantly, they tend to end up in your dreams? I've been thinking about someone in particular for sometime now, someone that I loved. That someone is not dead but I haven't talked to them for sometime now! I guess I'm just thinking about this person because I miss her. Anyway, I guess my thoughts finally caught up to my conscience and into my dreams. However the dream I had about this special someone wasn't a very good dream. It's one those dreams where that person turns into something that you never expect that person to become. I know this someone to be the sweet and gentle person that she is but in the dream she did a complete 180 degrees, and became something darker that I never wanted to see her go. It makes you wake up sweating and that gut wrenching feeling in your stomach.

What does it mean?

I went to see X2 tonight. I have to say that it was much better than I expected, especially coming from a sequel! It had a good story and the I thought that all the characters were played very nicely! There's a few things I am upset with but I won't give away all the details to those who haven't seen it. I'll tell you one thing that I am disappointed is that they had a cameo of Dr. McCoy, who from what little I know about the Marvel Universe is the name of the X-men named Beast. However, I'm disappointed because of two reasons for this....1. He has a very very short cameo...it's very quick if you don't know where to look....and 2. He didn't look anything like the blue beast that he is in the comics/cartoons. He was human and the only way I knew it was suppose to be him was the name Dr. McCoy! Other characters had brief cameos like Colussus, Siren, and Shadowcat. I was hoping to also see more of Lady Deathstrike played by Kelly Hu. She had a great fight scene with Wolverine!
Well, there other parts of the movie that I like to talk about but I don't want to ruin it for those that haven't seen it. I think everyone will want more after seeing this movie and I'm sure they will make a third one too!

Apparently a 3.9 earthquake was recorded just 30 miles away from here about 12:30! I didn't feel anything! It's only surprising because we don't get many earthquakes here in Virginia!
