I WON!!!!

Well, actually I won for scariest costume! Can you blame me! I tried to dress up like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show!. Hell, I have had three women I work with help me with my makeup! Anyway, I won a 25 dollar gift card for Appleby's! Not bad for going in drag!!! Trust me.....I MAKE AN UUUGGGLLLYYY WOMAN!!!!

How great is that! I get a plaque and the employee of the month parking spot! Whoo Hoo! Now I'm just waiting on the results of the Halloween costume constest!

The Second Date

I'm sure everybody's been wondering about a second date with the redhead Caitlin. Well, last night was the second date. Here's the synopsis:

Before meeting her, I had bought flowers to give her, since last week was her birthday. I pretty sure she liked them since she said that they were pretty! Anyway, we meet for dinner at 6 at the Italian restaurant, Rococo's. We talked about her weekend, her birthday, and upcoming plans for Halloween. At some points, there was that dreaded silence where niether of us could find something to talk about! But other than that, dinner was fine.
After dinner, we went to see Sweet Home Alabama. Personally I thought it was better than expected. My favorite line out of the movie is when Jake tells Melanie....."You never meet your soutmate at 10 years old. Where's the fun in that."
Okay, I know....as a guy, I wasn't suppose to get into it....but I must say it's a very good saying!
Anyway, I have to say that I have no spark for Caitlin. She's a beautiful redhead, very laidback, and sweet....but at this time, there is nothing there. I hope to stay as friends, since I know I need more!
AS I usually say...."Whatever happens....happens."

CHILD OF THE 80'S

I was just watching the movie Footloose, which I'm sure everyone has seen, and began thinking about the 80's. Everybody knows the 80's were filled with corny movies, even cornier music, and the clothing and style....well, just think about afro's with those god awful striped gator shirts! But I'm a child of the 80's and I enjoyed it....well from what I remember!
Anyway, after watching Footloose, I started thinking about all these web tests/survey's and thought about how I could tie the movie in with these tests/surveys that I see all the time. I don't know if they have one on the web or if not, how I can create one, but here are some ideas that I had with comparing 80's movies with personalities!

SNEEZES AND ORGASMS

I read a lot of online journals and I found an interesting fact. Even though I hate copying from other journals I just had to post it for everyone!

You know it's actually funny if you think about it. If anybody knows me......you know that I just don't sneeze.....I have sneezing fits!!!! Not just one sneeze, not just two sneezes.....but many, in a row!!!

So does that mean I have multiple orgasms? HELL YEAH!!!!

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

I have the deilemma of finding something to wear for Halloween! I've had a few ideas but don't know how to create them. I went into the Mall the other day into the Halloween shop. I found a costume for "Fat Bastard" (Austin Powers) that I thought was perfect. However it is overpriced for 70 dollars! Oh well!
Another idea that I had was after watching a newly found cartoon....Samurai Jack! I don't think anybody knows who he is or what the hell I'm talking about. It shouldn't be hard to find something like a while Japanese rope, with purple lining, and wooden sandels, RIGHT? Oh, and I have to find an indestructable and magical samurai sword. Anybody know where I can find one of those???
Anyway, those were the few ideas that I came up with. I could just find something cheap to wear and call it a costume! But where's the challenge in that! What is everybody else doing and wearing? I could use some ideas if you have any!

MURPHY'S LAW

I'm sure everybody has heard this law before. "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong". Well, what I usually experience isn't that extreme but I tend to see it that way. For me, anything that you plan.....will never become what it's suppose to be. I call it "Crispy's Law"! Usually every thing I try to plan never ends up the way I plan. I plan a party but it never comes true.....I plan to go out somewhere but end up nowhere.......I plan a date, she ends up sick!
Yes, I just got a call from Caitlin saying that she is sick and can not go out our date tonight. I would say I'm disappointed but I would expect this to happen, so as it happens, I can't be really disappointed. It's just that the paranoia comes out of me after something like this happens. I start to think, is she really sick or just saying that so she can let me down easy!
Well, I say......FUCK IT!!! I'm not going to let the paranoia get to me. I'm not going to let the voices inside my head get to me.....damn....that is paranoia!!! Oh well then! There's going to be a party inside my head then!!!

The Meeting!

I had a nice evening with Caitlin last night. I meet her at Barnes N Nobles Cafe to start off with. I really didn't know what she looked like but I knew she had red hair! I know, not enough to go on but it worked. I was actually waiting for her for about half an hour before the time we suppose to meet. She came in, saw me sitting down, and said are you Chris? So that was the easy part!
After the introduction, I asked her if she had eaten yet. She said she hadn't so we went to Casella's, which is just a short walk from Barnes and Nobles. After eating and talking for a while, we decided to go for ice cream at the local Ben n Jerry's. After finishing, we walked back to Barnes and Nobles, talked for a little bit more, and watched some of the people around us.
Anyway, I thought the evening was great. She is very laid back and reserved....liked me. She has been in Charlottesville for about a year now but doesn't go out much to meet people. What you may call a home body! We had a lot of the same interests....such as being home alot, we both like movies, and are close to family. Physically, she is very beautiful, but what really turned me on was the freckles on her upper chest. No...she didn't wear anything revealing....but her sweeter shirt had a small v-cut near her neck and I saw her upper chest near the neck. That's where her freckles were! Very cute and sexy I must say!
Anyway, we made plans to go out Friday night for dinner and I suggested seeing "Red Dragon"! I hope that theory about how relationships go as compared to the first movie seen together isn't right!
Oh, I found out that her birthday is next week! I might just send her flowers! I like to acknowledge all my friends birthdays. I remember one's friend's birthday is in two weeks! Till then!

The Nervous Meeting!

Well, I confirmed a puesdo-date for tomorrow night. This is with Caitlin, the redhead that my supervisor Jason and his wife have set me up with to meet. We are going to meet at Barnes "n" Nobles, to have coffee and talk. The irony of that is I don't even drink coffee!!!
I talked to her over the phone for a little bit last night! She sounds very upbeat and nice! She is a occupational therapist at UVa Hospital! I also learned that over the past weekend, she got her certificate in gymnastics training! OHHHHH....a gymnist!! FLEXIBLE!!!! hehehe!
Anyway, I am a bit nervous about meeting her! I know I shouldn't be but I'm just am! I want to thank the Essex Goddesses for their advice! If anybody else has some advice, I'll greatly appreciate it! Till then, wish me luck!

CARPE DIEM

The Good Luck keeps coming!

Today....and the week so far....keeps getting better for me! First of all, after having worked for three months at my new position at Autosport, I had to get a review. It's good because I learned that I get a RAISE!! Whoo Hooo! More money to go towards saving up for a house!
Secondly, when I got home, my father showed me that he got tickets to the Virginia/Clemson game tomorrow!!! I am just so excited with the luck I have been having! I haven't been to a game in years!

The Good Week!

It's actually turning out to be a interesting week for me so far! I don't how know many of you know this but I placed my personal ad on Match.com and Yahoo Personals a long time ago. I haven't really had much luck in the past months though. I've meet and become friends with one woman. However during this week, it has been picking up speed. I saw a girl that I was interested on Monday, wrote to her, and now we have been emailing each other back and forth. I've seen her picture and she is very cute!
At the same time, another girl wrote to me after seeing my ad on both the personal websites! We also have been writing back to each other! Though she didn't have a picture for me to see....I'm just exciting to meeting...in a sense....new people!
Actually the big kicker just came this morning! I just got a call from my supervisor's wife saying that she wanted me to meet her friend! I was so in shock! I know that my supervisor was telling his wife about me and how everybody has been saying that they will try to hook me up!!! I really didn't believe him when he told me about getting me set up with his wife's friend! Anyway, she gave me her friends number to call, which I am going to do tonight probably! Also the good thing about it is that she is a REDHEAD!!! I love redheads!
All in all though, I am trying to keep things in perspective. I'm not really planning on dating anybody but I just want to see where things go! I'm taking things in stride because if I don't, I know I will be the one to get hurt!

But it won't hurt to wish me luck! ;)

For those of you who are not familiar with online journals, there is a site that allows me to see who reads my journal called SiteMeter. Well, to be honest, it only shows me the domain that they log in under...such as aol.com, nexet.com, lwc.edu! Sometimes I can guess who actually reads it but it's hard to narrow it down from those who use the big domains like AOL. The site also allows me to see how the reader linked to my page....either through a link from a friends journal, a direct link, or even links from searches made from sites such as Yahoo.
With that point being made, I just wanted to say that I keep getting hits from people who search the name "Keri Wurher"! Over a month a go, I saw Eight Legged Freaks, which stars Keri Wurher, and I wrote about it my journal! If you don't know who Keri Wurher is.....she is an actress who I like since she plays great characters that are both strong and beautiful. Also it's not bad when she is a red head!!! Anyway, from this journal, it links it to the search for her name! I'm like greatly impressed with this! I'm just wondering if they come back to read my journal any more!
I also get links to my journal through my poems! Actually one poem helped me find a website of someone that I haven't seen or talked to since I graduated from college. Her name was Marian and I loved her website. She even put my poems on the site to let everyone read for themselves. So when I saw the link from the poem, I chased it back and found Marian's site that I haven't seen in over two years!! Now it's good to know that I've begun to talk to her and she still has her site up!

What a world this internet is! Anyway, I hope to see that more people read my journal. I know I have a few return visitors but they won't say who they are! I'm always glad for the visit!

Oh by the way.....Kelly....are you happy now!!! I wrote something for you to read! I'm hoping for a comment on my journal!

The Old Times Revisited

I visited my friend Chris Robson last night when he came to town for this weekend! I haven't seen Chris in over a year and a half and it was great to see him again! We talked about the "The Good Ole Times".....were were only 3 years ago.....that we had in college and the people we remembered. See Chris and I lived in the same dorm in our sophmore and junior year and were roommates in our senior year! It's always funny when we talk about living together, especially when we were in the same dorm....."Essex"! Boy, there were stories there in that dorm!
Actually there was one story that got Chris riled and pissed! It was our sophmore year living in Essex, and Chris lived down the hall from me. We made friends with most of the other guys in the dorm so it became a close knit of friends, still even with a couple today. But then there were a few guys that we remember that did some things that piss us off today. One of these guys, who we named "Colonel"....don't know why he was called that.....but became known as the peeping tom of Essex!
It was found out that Colonel was a peeping tom when another friend of ours found him taking out the peep holes in the doors and peeping on everyone. It was realized when Colonel saw Chris and another friend of mine...who I say was Mrs "W".....in an intimate moment in his room! I guess no one told Chris what the Colonel saw them doing! It was spread around the hall what Chris and "W" were doing and I guess was correct because when I told Chris, he sat there in surprise when I told them that we knew what he and "W" were doing! He was so in shock when he heard this and didn't realize that he and "W" were being watched! For the rest of the night he kept saying "Oh my god, I can't believe he did that.....and everybody knew what we and "W" did"!!! It was so funny to know that he didn't even know this happened!
So I always enjoy going back to my college days! I miss them so much! But it was great to have a friend of mine visit! It was much needed!

So my folks are leaving tomorrow for Massachusetts till Sunday! Trying to find something to besides being a hermit all weekend! Party maybe? We will see!
