You know what the worst thing about living in the mountains is? Coming home to find it infested with hundreds of lady bugs inside! Luckily, they are only centered around the doors and cathedral ceiling in the living room/kitchen and not the bedrooms. I hear this is normal around here!

So, last night I had a date with Claudia. Meet her at a little Italian restaurant around 5:30. Even though I've talked to her twice at parties, I was still nervous going out. Hey....it's been such a long time since I was on a date! Anyway, dinner was good and we had a long conversation of many things. Around 8:30, we decided to leave the restaurant and walk down to the Barnes-n-Nobles to sit, talk, and have coffee....well, I had a IBC cream soda, and we shared a piece of Peanut Butter and Chocolate cake. Currently, she is working and studying at the University of Virginia in the Radiology department.
At one point in the conversations, she told me that she often has a hard time talking to new people and believes that her character and ability to work in the medical field are questioned because the her lack of ability to interact at times. Well, I told her that I was the same way. I went to say that the two most important things in any relationship, whether it's a personal relationship like family or that of a local offical like a doctor or police, is trust and communication. I told her that because she does not know people that well, she lacks the trust in a relationship and therefore lacks communcation. However, it is a cycle of that statement because she cannot communicate how she feels to others, then how can others trust her. So basically it is the continual cycle of lack of communication without trust and trust without communication that confronts her. Well, she was a bit awestruck with this statement for a bit but after a few seconds, she just looked at me and said that was deep!
Anyway, the date went well and we should be going out hiking Sunday!

All work and no play make Crispy go something...something.
Go crazy?
NAAAA.....someone has to think of the children!
Trust me, I'm not all work! Monday, I went hiking Old Rag Mountain with my friend Nick and Q. Meet them there at 10. We all went up one way, reached the top around 1:30, and ate lunch. Then on the way down though, we had a disagreement. They wanted to go back down the same way because it was rock climbing involved. Me.....I don't like to go down the same direction unless I have to. So they told me going down the other direction would take me twice as long as them but I said ok and told them bye! The trip down wasn't too exciting except for the giant bear eyeing me but it only took 2 1/2 hours to get back to the parking lot. To my amazement, as I was just getting into the parking lot, I look behind me and see Nick and Q. A bunch of slow asses. But I did enjoy the hike.
However, the rest of the week seemed to go by slowly and uneventful.
Did finally call Claudia out last night. She came to my "Thank you" cookout last Saturday. Well, I left a message for her to go out. Meet her at my house party but didn't ask for her number because I knew my cousin works with her so I get it from her. However, found out that she gave out the wrong number to people, including my cousin, so that's why I never called her after the first party. But now, I got her number and called her last night.
Also got a message from my cousin Danny inviting me over tonight to watch the Virginia/FL State game. Told me that he want's me to meet Molly! Wasn't expecting that but OK!!! We'll see how that goes! I was told she is a friend of a friend, but Danny has good taste of women in the past.....I say past since he's married now!
Coming up is the Halloween party. I have an idea of what to be but I haven't had a chance to get it ready. I have one party on the 29th at my friend Rachel's. Also, I was invited to another party on the 30th by Claudia and my cousin Dee. I'm most definetly going to that.

It was kind of odd today when I started thinking about the rules we have in the Judeo-Christian faith. I'm sure many have heard about the sin of having pre-marital sex. However, when I was talking to a co-worker, who is going through a seperation with her husband, about the rule of pre-marital sex and how it is a sin. Now, thinking about it, I would assume that it applies to those who have yet to be married. It's common now to wait until you are married.
However, is it a sin to have pre-marital sex after you become seperated, divorced, or widowed? How serious can that sin be? I guess the only analogy I can come up with is that it's like committing a crime and knowing you did it and you are thrown in jail. After your sentence is completed, you are released, but you are again sent to court and jail for the very same crime you committed for the first time because the judge believes you have not served enough time for the crime.
So can anybody come up with better analogy for that?

Dear God! Where have I been this last month?
You know, I never figured I'd be saying this but I've been too busy to really update this last month. I know....I've been a slacker. After Minnesota....which I still need to post pictures of......I went up to Massachusetts for Labor Day to see my father's family. Since then, I've been busy trying to work on the house, playing softball (which we happen to be 0 for 9 in the very bottom of the all the leagues!), and just going out and hanging with friends. I have to thank my friend Rachel for keeping me sane! And did I tell you about the floods! With all the hurricanes that have been coming through, the roads have been flooded and I couldn't get home a couple of times! Luckily, my yard is still in place since the July 4th fiasco.....but it still needs a lot of work on it.
Let's see......I have a busy schedule coming up. Tomorrow, I'm throwing a cookout for all those that helped my with the house to say Thank you! Monday, I'm taking off work to hicking Old Rag Mountain with friends. I've been looking forward to it for a long time now. Last time I went, I was left behind and I went back down the mountain and sat at the bottom for 7 hours waiting for my friends to come back! I know.....I am a loser for doing that! However, I will not give up Monday.....that's a promise.
I had plans to go up to the Rennaissance Festival in Maryland last weekend, but I was broke. I'm hoping to go next weekend if I have the money and if my friend Rachel wants to go. She wants to dress me up in costume since I didn't when we were up in Minnesota!
For Halloween, I'm going to several parties on both Friday and Saturday! I really haven't decided on a costume yet, but I'm pointing towards being Mario.....from Super Mario Bros! Last year, I dressed up like Homer Simpson. I was kind of disappointed last year at the company Halloween party because I lost by one vote for most original. You know the dumb thing about that......the deciding vote was made by me when I voted for another co-worker! DAMMIT!!! OH well!
